Fateos ("we" or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Fateos app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email, nickname, profile photo
- Zodiac Information: Birth date, zodiac sign, gender
- Birth Chart Information (Optional): Birth time and birth city — collected only when you enter them yourself. Used to calculate your natal chart and provide personalized horoscopes.
- User-Generated Content: Posts, photos, comments, chat messages
- Usage Information: How you interact with the app
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, language settings
- Location Information: GPS latitude/longitude (for nearby post recommendations and localized horoscopes) — collected only when you grant location permission.
- Push Notification Token: FCM token (for sending push notifications)
- Subscription Information: Subscription status and expiration date. Payments themselves are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat — we do not directly store credit-card or payment-method details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide personalized daily horoscopes
- Calculate zodiac compatibility and suggest friends
- Enable social features (posts, comments, chat)
- Send notifications about horoscopes and friend activity
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Prevent fraud and abuse
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with:
- Other Users: Public profiles and posts you share
- Service Providers: Firebase (Google), OpenAI (for AI analysis)
- Legal Requirements: When required by law
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption and secure cloud storage via Firebase.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information
- Delete your posts
- Request account deletion: You can delete your account directly through the "Delete Account" button at the bottom of the profile screen in the app
- Manage push notification settings
- Opt out of analytics data collection
7. Content Policy and Copyright
⚠️ Important:
- Users are solely responsible for the copyright of content they upload.
- Posts containing copyright infringement, pornography, hate speech, or other inappropriate content may be removed without prior notice.
Users must have legitimate rights to all content they upload and must not post content that infringes on others' copyrights or contains inappropriate material. Violating posts will be removed, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
